Let's talk about our issues with the Church. Some us leave because we are angry or disagree about a specific teaching. Some of us leave because of an unkind comment or action from a priest or Pastoral Leader. Some of us leave because the Church didn't help us in our hour of need. Some of us leave because of a marriage issue. Some of us leave because of apathy. And some of us leave because of evil- a religious leader who has caused pain, suffering or scandal. The Church is imperfect- it's made up of imperfect human beings who all sin. We who are the Church are all called to holiness and perfection, but fall short sometimes.
But- something draw us back- Sacraments. Prayer. The REAL Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The Rosary. The Blessed Mother. The Saints. Tradition. Sacred Scripture. The loving invitation by a friend or family member.
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit don't ever change in their love for you and their desire for you to be one with them through the Church. Welcome back.
